FAQ

This app allows you to do two things:

• Upload an unlimited amount of bloodwork history. Once the bloodwork is uploaded, the app will auto-create charts so you can see how your bloodwork changes over time
• Ask questions about your bloodwork/health problems and get research-backed insights from AI that is specially customized to analyze health data

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the app:

1. Type betterblood.app in your web browser.
2. Press the sign-up button on the main page to create an account.
3. Fill out the requested information to create your account. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you choose- make sure to click the link in this email to activate your account!
4. After verifying your email, go back to betterblood.app and log in.
5. You will be taken to the dashboard page upon logging in- this is the main page of the site and where your charts will be displayed once you upload bloodwork. Click the upload button in the middle of this page or in the top right corner to upload your first bloodwork PDF.
6. Once on the upload page, click the choose files button to upload your bloodwork. Upload up to 3 PDFs with the free plan, if you want to upload more you can subscribe to one of the Pro plans- both provide unlimited amounts of uploads.

   Note: If you don't know how to get your bloodwork PDFs, you can reach out to your doctor for information on how to download them. Most doctors use either LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics to analyze bloodwork, so you can usually find them available for download on the Labcorp or Quest website/app.

7. Press upload once your PDFs are selected. It will take anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 minutes to complete the upload depending on the quantity and size of your files. Please wait and do not refresh the page during this time. You will be redirected to the dashboard when the upload is complete.
8. You should now see your charts displayed on the dashboard. You can add or remove charts by clicking the red X in the top left corner of each chart and can also edit any data point on the chart if it is showing incorrectly by clicking the "Edit Values" button. You can also toggle to "By Category" to view your biomarkers grouped into their common medical categories.
9. To get detailed health insights based on your bloodwork, click the "AI Insights" button in the top right corner of the dashboard page. Once you're on this page, you will be prompted to enter some basic medical information like age, sex, weight, height, diet, and activity level. This information is stored and can always be changed instantly by clicking the "Update Info" button on the page.
10. Now you are ready to ask a question. The information you just entered and your ENTIRE bloodwork history is passed to the AI (The AI does NOT store your data permanently and it will NOT be used for training the model).

    Ask any question about your bloodwork, and if you are not sure what question to ask, you can simply ask the AI to help you understand your bloodwork. You can ask any question about your health as well, things like: "I'm not sleeping well lately, is there something about my bloodwork that could be causing this" or "I changed my diet a year ago and have had less energy since, does my bloodwork show any sign of this and what can I change to feel more energized?" or "I just had surgery, how can I recover faster?" or any other question that comes to mind. Any question you would ask your doctor, you can ask here and get an instant response!

    Note: The free tier allows for up to 3 AI queries. Upgrade to either Pro plan for unlimited AI queries!

11. You've now experienced the two core features of the app. If you are on a Pro plan, you can also download your data in a .csv file format. This lets you consolidate all your bloodwork datapoints in one place for your records.
12. You can manage your subscription by clicking on the "Profile" button on the dashboard page, and then navigating to the "Manage Subscription" button. The Profile page also shows details about your account and has a delete account/cancel subscription button at the bottom of the page- clicking this button will both cancel your subscription and delete your account and ALL of your data. This action cannot be undone, you'll have to make a new account and reupload your bloodwork if you want to continue using the site.
